Envelope filter/follower addict support group

So, on the topic of envelope phasers.... I remember there being some discussion in here, but I think mostly limited to the Pigtronix one? Anyone have any experience with any others? The Way Huge Attack Vector has been staring me in the face on Reverb, but so has the EP-2, and I'm a weak man. Dissuade me, please.
I owned the Piggy, very unique sound...I did dig it a lot. But I was able to get those sounds out of my Source Audio BEF Pro.

I'm afraid I can't do that.

What I can tell you is that I checked out the Way Huge, the Drolo Moonrabbit, and the EP and the EP-2 and went with the Ep-2 (features, plus the stacatto switch) and don't regret it. It's a really cool piece of kit and it pairs so well with an envelope filter and all sorts of fuzzes.

I'll be honest, I never gave those pedals much consideration because they look like plastic garbage. You're not the first person I've seen praise that ugly purple beast, though.
It's basd$$. That and the C4 are the only envelope filter/synthy pedals that is in my pedalboard. People often says the orig Mutron III is the best ever. I own one and owned the Arp version, the BEF Pro runs circles around both. My opinion of course. If you play more than one bass live, it's difficult to get the Mutron III to react the same. BEF Pro has an auto threshold function to smooth that out. Plus, the EQ can totally change the sound, not to mention the availability of saving 6 presets. This opinion is coming from a guy who currently owns 32 envelope filters...don't fall for the narrative of it sounds "digital," because it sounds great. After all these years, I can't tell the difference between analog or a digital envelope filter...if it sounds good, it sounds good. Also, don't chase Bootsy's sound, you'll never sound like Bootsy.

That auto threshold function sounds super useful. Does the SA Spectrum have this?

My only experience with an envelope phaser is the Keely Bubbletron. I can emphatically recommend this device. It also will do envelope flanging, very interesting.

Funny you mention that one; I recently stumbled across it on Reverb and was curious. It seems to have a ton of settings, maybe too many? I get choice paralysis with these solely independently-selectable multi-effect pedals.

Just a heads up - a WMD Super Fatman on Reverb right now. I’m not affiliated. Was pretty popular a few years back and figured I’d let you guys know that one had popped up. I debated grabbing it for quite awhile, but unfortunately life is pulling my wallet in other directions at the moment.
I have one, good sounding unit

I got home from a business trip today to find the Funkulator waiting for me, It's a super cool pedal. The EF side alone is fairly unique - it's quite poppy, very wet, nice and synthy, and it plays very well with the fuzz side. Very nice, I'm having fun with this!

Also, the Past FX is really growing on me - it's absolutely dynomite for playing fast passages! Very articulate, and very rich and full bodied. Maybe I just didn't give it enough time before.

Happy with my pastfx as well but wish the attack was more tweakable.

I'd definitely check out the Meathead then. Much more tweakable, especially with the decay. I messed around with both tonight and I got the Meathead pretty close, but the Past FX has a little more poppiness - it's not overly noticeable, but I think with a little more work I can cop the same sounds.
