To anyone who knows more about how the process works than I do...

Is there a good reason why the Behringer Meatball is readily available in the UK, but estimates for a USA release range from May to July depending on the retailer? We know Behringer is certainly not a tiny boutique maker with a one-man operation that painstakingly makes every pedal by hand! Why would a mega-company like Behringer do a preorder of a pedal? And again - why is the Meatball in stock in the UK, but on backorder in the USA?

The demos for this pedal have me as intrigued as the demos for the B-Tron III have me unimpressed. The Meatball sounds really juicy.

EDIT: I e-mailed Sweetwater about it, and the answer from them is...

"I looked at our inventory to see when we’re expecting to have these restocked. Right now, we have an ETA for some time After 07/28/26. This date, however, is a rough estimate from the vendor and could change at any time."

It seems strange that a huge company like Behringer wouldn't have ton of these ready to go. Could it have something to do with ThorpyFX reissuing the Lovetone Meatball?

My guess, and that's all this is, is likely something with the current trade/tariff/business situation of the USA. I assume those pedals are made somewhere in Asia, and the EU/Europe probably has a better situtation with them at the moment.

Picked up a TWA Ladditude - apparently they only had enough pats for 100 of these, so I couldn't pass that up. Full review imminent.
I don't think you'll be disappointed. I will say that it is a bit tricky to dial in the envelope settings, but it really can make anything synthy. The Lattitude and just an Octave is a potent combo. Adding fuzz takes it up a notch. Enjoy!

Had a little rearrange of the pedal shelf and decided to get all the filters together…it’s getting ridiculous at this point.

I mean, I'll do you a solid and take that Chromatron off your hands ;-)

I don't see anything "ridiculous" there. Filters are like overdrives, they all have their own flavors and personalities. A person SHOULD have a few different ones! :D

How do you like that BFF? I've wanted to try one for a while now.

5sg.
The BFF is my favorite filter fuzz with envelope that I've tried - bar none. It's very responsive and flexible, and the fuzz sounds really, really good by itself, and the filters are thick and funky. The ONLY reason why I am selling mine is that I have a Collision Devices TARS Deluxe with a Fairfield Conflict of Interest - a lot more flexible, but a LOT more $$$$.

But yeah, the BFF is a great piece of kit!

I’d agree with everything that @moon-bass says. I think it’s a great fuzz for people who don’t like fuzz but love filters. It pairs really well with an octaver.

"Thick and funky" are what I look for in an envelope filter.

That pretty much sums me up right there.

Certainly sounds great in the demos I've seen, and your comments are pinging that G.A.S. nerve for me... I guess maybe I need to try one out sooner rather than later.

I've had my eye on the Polaron for a while now though. Hmmm.

As luck would have it, there's a Polaron AND a BFF in the classifieds .. totally affiliated!

So...does anyone think the Behringer Meatball will ever be released in the States?:eyebrow:

It's still three months until that "official" ETA you were given, and that was an "at the earliest" estimate, so I'd give it a while yet.
I guess I'm a little anxious!

It does seem weird that it seems to be the only Behringer pedal that's on backorder. I can get a B-Tron or Dual-Phase from a US retailer. If it's a trade situation thing, then why is it not a problem regarding the other pedals? If it's a trademark thing, why give an ETA at all?
