I've had that same drummer.

Our drummer never listens to the songs and even uses that excuse every for the new songs every practice/rehearsal (sic). Even the pretty easy drum solos in our Surf Medley, 'Walk Don't Run/Perfedia/Pipeline' sound cheesy. Did I mention I'm quitting? Too bad because the Singer and Guitar Players are pretty good, but Drummers and Bassists need to gel more than anything, and after 3 months I really don't see anything changing.

Dude, I wish I hadn't deleted all of his emails and texts. Truly epic stuff. Our drummer is from Appalachia, and even he couldn't decipher it as any know hillbilly dialect. More likely neanderthal (though that would be insulting to cavemen). It's even more hilarious when you realize the guy is 60 years old.

I've had that same drummer.

My band broke up last week and he was in that too !

He also said that me putting my cab off the floor on a beer crate was damaging his hearing ! Nothing to do with his off-tempo thrashing on the kit then....

"JacEntBerry, post: 15783997, member: 261199"]Sounds like a pretty good reason to cancel practice to me. Lol. Heck. Can't the band practice without him once in a while. We practice even though a member can't make it. You can always work on harmonies.

We put this on the band schedule far in advance. Other members conflicts prevented us rehearsing another day that week. He is way out there.

PS No one responded to his email. The singer and I have started another band with a guitarist and drummer who are investment bankers, and a key player who is a scientist. Live and learn.
