Anybody have any experience with Epifani Dist2 1x12 speaker paired with an Epifani amp as well? Looking to upgrade from my fender rumble combo. Playing mainly upright bass with a realist lifeline pickup.

Epifani cabinets tend to be midrange voiced for EB while Euphonic Audio are midrange voiced for both DB and EB. I’ve played DB through both and preferred the EA’s. Euphonic Audio cabinets are musically voiced for both DB and EB. The Acoustic Image Double Shot is probably the ideal cabinet based on its size, sound, and weight. I play with Mike Arnopol powered MAS 1/8 cabinets light, loud, and compact. Mike’s non powered cabs are incredible for either instrument.
I used a pair of the original Epifani 112 cabs, back around 2000. All Epifiani cabs have scooped mids which gives a "pillowy" sound. This can be compensated for by boosting the midrange EQ on your amp. I switched to Bergantino HT112 because it had more flat response in the mids.
Other than the voicing, I thought the Epi was fantastic. Excellent construction and the tweeter (if you want to use it) was smooth sounding, unlike the "spitty" piezo tweeters found in many cabinets.
