Epifani Rig.. UL502 / 310UL

Ozbass said:
I'm thinking of getting a second 310 for larger gigs without PA support....to power this,as the 502 doesn't do 2 ohms, I need to use the 502 as my preamp and add a power amp.

I have no experience of Pre / Power setups.
So, which power amp would you guys recommend to add to my rack to achieve this

Weight is an issue...so the lighter the better.(without compromising on quality) Ideally to fit neatly into the spare single rack space I have.

Appreciate your help on this.

Cheers

How about get a Epi 4x10, so you can use a single cab at large venus and then use both on the really places!

Epifani have a poweramp which should be coming in this year ;)

Do you have the footswich for the 502?

Great! Would to se a picture of the carrybag and the footswitch. I mailed Epifani and got 2 mail from them. One said 70 $ for the footswitch and 50 $ for the bag. The other said 75 $ for the footswitch and 80 $ for the carrybag. It does matter which one you mail to ;)

I purchased the head and cab from the US.......they were boxed separately and shipped via BAX GLOBAL to me for US$250....which I thought was good value..the retailer organised this.

Awesome pretty cheap shipping wise- I know Bass Central used BAX Global, a while ago for shipping cabinets and stuff international- But I heard they no longer do. Just curious, which store in the US did you get it from?

I am currently debating Building vs Buying a cabinet, but cabinets here are massively expencive as I'm sure you know... $2100 for an Aguilar GS212, I'd hate to think what the would Epi cost here. Building looks cheaper- but is rather hit and miss.

Thanx & Enjoy the rig, I know I would be...

Hi,

i'm also really interested in getting a ul410 to put with a eden wt550...if only i could afford a DB750.... :crying:

i emailed the bassplayer in sydney and they said they were doing the quads at around 2150, list of 2500/2600 i think...

the pricing is better than you think...

still to much for my stupid GAS while i'm a pov student...

Well $2150 isn't bad in comparrison to other cabinets in it's quality range- but still way way too much... I certainly have no doubt they are great cabinets. But the price o f gear in Australia really needs to come down, if they want people to buy local- We need a manuafacture like Avatar ;)

yeah, totally,

i'm making do with lab systems cabs, built in melbourne, 210 and 212...

there ok and all i could really afford for the volume i needed but i the epifani 410 would just be something else...

i've desided i like a 410 much better, why could't i have known about epifani and got a 4ohm quad for a very similar price that weighs close to the 210...
