If anyone is interested may have to let my Epiphone Les Paul Standard go,to cover another bass I am interested in buying? Decided to keep it,after thinking it over? Don't see many of these,in the cherry burst, with gold hardware?

I am not certain I've updated my Epiphone information. I blew off the Les Paul "Special" (there's another story) & finally "pulled the trigger" on an Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat... The decision seemed to fluctuate between the Hofner Club, the Allen Woody or the Eastwood Classic 4.... there were NO options (within 200 miles) to try any of them. So, it came to favorable previous Epiphone experiences & the fact that the bridge was fixed & adjustable... so far (5 months) so good. After a professional set up & La Bella black tape wounds... pretty darn good for the money... (oh yeah, no number I know of)

Fixed bridge? Doesn't your Rumblekat have the usual 3-point floating bridge?

My first real bass was a 1966 Epiphone Newport that I bought new when I was 16. I worked in a music store and got it because I liked its tone better than any other we had. You can see it in the 50 year old newspaper clipping below. It got traded a couple of years later as I began my progression through many others. You guys know how that works.

Last week I gave in to GAS and bought this one on Reverb from Chicago Music Exchange just for fun.
Still has a great sound. However, it sure seems small now. Could it have shrunk?

My newest Episode - The Zenith. I also have a JC Ltd. Edition and an EB3! More pictures to come, when I can find them!

As promised, the family portrait and a few close ups!

Jack Casady Ltd. Edition; EB-3 w/pearloid pick guard; Zenith, before restoring the OE string set and clean-up!

Have a question, about the control knobs,on the Epiphone Les Paul Standards? Has the two top,and lower ones. Any suggestions,on the settings? I love the looks,of the bass, and the cherry sunburst. It is the long scale 34" neck, trying to get use to the long scale neck. Have it for sale in the classifieds, would probably regret if I sold?

Me? all 10 almost all the time for full tone... if one is a blend, I'm usually on the neck pup.. most of my basses are PJ setups (one Fender, 2 Epi EBMs, a Tburd, an Explorer). I only pull back on tone when I need 60s mush sound.

I suppose I should finally join this club since I've been enjoying my Rumblekat for almost a year.

I also have a question. Could someone with a newish EB-0 please tell me how long it is (from strap button to tip of head stock)? Thanks!

I have searched high and low and cannot find what should be a fairly common piece of information.
