Epiphone Club

Just purchased an EB-35. It's surprisingly bright compared to the EB-3 I used to own. It's currently going to get the works, Hipshot UltraLight mini clover tuners, Hipshot D bridge and tailpiece (I think I've got to fill and drill for the bridge and definitely need to fill and drill for the tailpiece), Bartolini CF5C pickups, dual tonestyler and blend control to replace the rotary switch.

Photos, please? And control description.

Steps 1 and 2 done. I hardwired each humbucker in series, and then I got a (very simple to install I might add) pre-wired Stellartone tonestyler. Then I added black speed knobs. Top most control is master volume, middle knob is blend, next down and closest to the edge of the body is the neck tonestyler and finally, the last knob is a tonestyler for the bridge.

Things are moving a bit slowly on this one. Now all the new hardware and electronics are in, but not installed. I got the mini clover tuners on and started work on the bridge. I fowled the bridge bolts (note, don't hammer into the bolts, press the inserts into the body instead!) and just received new ones from Hipshot (no charge! Thanks so much!). I drilled, filled, messed up, re-drilled, and then re-filled. Had to use some putty and mahogany dust to fill some apprentice marks.

That brings me to now, where I'm struggling to get the finish just right. I think I'm close, and then I'll be able to shoot clear, final wet sand, and then polish. So close, yet finding the time with two little ones running around makes it really hard to finish it up!

Update here. The bridge, well, shifted. Enough so that the spacing was way out no matter how much adjustment I could muster. That being said, I just decided to bail entirely on the floating D Style bridge and just plug the holes and go for an A Style brass bridge. My measurements also state that the fret board is wide enough to go all the way to 19mm spacing, so I ordered a new Hipshot A Style bridge.

Since I've drilled, filled, sanded, painted, buffed, and messed up enough, I decided to go a different route with the paint. I'm going solid color, and I picked a factory Jeep color to paint it. I will update as things move along.

Not sure what the protocol is but I've sold my Epiphone EB-0 and don't have any plans to buy another. Does a person resign from a Club? Or just let it ride?

I think it varies by club. Unsure about this one.
Member #1 disappeared long ago, and their Epi photo is gone. Did they get dismembered (sic)?
You can always just remove your club number from your sig if you want to dismember yourself.

So ... still rocking your Dano through a combo?

Once a member always a member. Your experience will always be worth it to someone.

It was an Epiphone "The Vinnie" Les Paul Signature bass. I've been looking for one for many years. It was in pretty solid shape aside from the shipping-acquired busted-up edge and now the pickups and electronics are jacked-up, producing tons of noise and static. It must have taken quite a drop in shipping. The seller was great, and has already refunded.....but the search continues.

That really sucks. I hate to hear that. Those basses seem kind of rare.

Well, garbage. Sorry to hear that, both for you and the seller.
Another one popped up on FB outside Nashville, and it should be shipping out today. This one comes with a case and appears to be in solid shape. Praying that whatever shipping company is used can handle with some care.
