Epiphone NIKKI SIXX's signature

Hi guys...I'm wondering if anyone had played (or has in his possession) EPIPHONE NIKKI SIXX's signature bass ?

I found this YouTube link and I really, REALLY dig the tone

This isn't NIKKI's model but I heard NIKKI's and they sound pretty similar if not almost identical.

I play metal/hard rock and I started using a pick recently and I always want to buy one of these. What are your opinions on this bass guitar ?

Geddy Lee jazz bass sounds better. That's my opinion. Spector's rock harder. I was not impressed with the Epi T. I played a t back in the day, and all I can add is that your amp better have a good EQ section, as you'll need it.

I went down the Epiphone path when I first got into bass and didn't realise the error of my ways until I played a Squire Jazz that sounded a hell of a lot better than my Epi. I bought a MIM Jazz within the week and still love that bass to death, though now I also have a Gibson Tbird as my main rock bass.

The Gibson is fantastic and perfect for what I use it for, though not as versatile as the Jazz. I'd be weary of the Epiphone route.

I own a Gibson Blackbird, and I played the Epi version at a local Music Go Round. It doesn't compare to the Gibson at all as far as Quality and Sound - they are different animals. But on it's own merit, it sounded pretty good considering you've just got the on/off switch. I will say the cross inlays were done very nicely - as good or better than the Gibson. What I didn't care for was the width of the neck. Even though they advertise these as having a 1.5 nut like the Gibson - the one I played had the standard Epiphone IV type neck which is much wider.

I think Ed nails the review on this one, but I will add that with some EQ tweaking you can actually get it to "thump" and pump some deep lows that Ed doesn't demo.

The headstock says "Gibson" on it. Are you saying it's not a Gibson or that Gibson's T-Bird is crappy?
