Epiphone Thunderbird color

I know how threads about color of basses is a mute topic, however I just gotta ask for some opinions. I am looking into finally pulling the trigger on a new bass, I want to go the route of the Epiphone Thunderbird (the standard "cheaper" four string model) this time around. My dilemma: Get it in Vintage Sunburst or black in color? Reason for dilemma: both basses are used but not beat by any means, play great and both are the exact same price so it makes it a little more then just choosing the cheaper priced one. Any opinions/influence on to which to get?

The Vintage Sunburst is just that, the standard brownish black burst color and the black/ebony is well yes black, both have a white PG. I did notice though the black T-Bird was made in Korea and the Burst in China if that matters? I remember seeing somewhere that Korean made stuff is actually pretty good.

These are the only two T-Birds I am looking at right now because I can afford that price. I found some white ones and even a blue one however they are a bit above my spending limit right now.

I usually don't go for sunburst finishes but the Thunderbird ones are very nice...dark looks better to me. Black is good too but I prefer the flat finish on the Goth version.
You can always buy a different pickguard...plenty of colors to choose from. I've seen black pickguards on sunburst T-birds and they look great and I like tortoiseshell on black.
Anyway, buy whichever one feels and sounds best. You can't go wrong. I've read elsewhere here that the Korean-made Thunderbirds are very good quality, though.

I am becoming more partial to the Vintage Sunburst the more I look at the two. The black looks slick however when I look at it I cannot help but think metal (which I like some metal and the gothic model TBird totally screams that to me) but the Sunburst does give me more of the rock vibe which is the type of music I mostly play.

Sunburst :-)
