Epiphones new bass model

I'm intrigued.
Two new pickup designs I've not seen in bassdom, in an attractive semi-hollow package.

Yeah, color me intrigued. I'd love to try it and see what it has to offer!

Wish it wasn't an Epiphone. Also wish it was unlined. But I could live with the Epi part and probably the lined board as well. Glad it's 34". Doesn't look like a bass you'd want to play standing anyhow (looks like it'd be right at home in the hands of a seated jazz bassist, which is what I am on most gigs), so neck dive wouldn't be an issue here. Looking forward to seeing more images and possibly hear some clips.

Hmm.....

I sure hope you like the type of strings, the action height, and the overall intonation on the bass! Because if you don't...........

There's not going to be too much you can do about it. The bridge looks like just the basic non adjustable type. Maybe it slides back and forth on the top? I'm not convinced you'll be able to do much with what's on there.

I do agree that it's way cool that Epi is trying to step out of the norm though.
