Episode 88: S/D thread - No Hope

I was able to find and print a schematic and gut shot of my mummy face Bad Stone. The board is not connected to the footswitch or the input jack or the power switch on the back.
It's going to need a new footswitch and another battery clip ( it takes two nine volt batteries, one clip is missing). Once i get those I'm just going to wire it up as is and see if it works. If it does, then I'll redo the wiring to and from the board, make it true bypass and maybe add a dc jack.
Once that's done the plan is to make a clone with modern, higher quality components and add an expression pedal input to control the rate. Should be easy enough to bypass the pot with a switch and add a jack.

Or like a double cut Matsumoku bass. Except a bill-mill-mega-DOOMillion times sexier.
Had a great Flying Medusa tonight, slowly but surely were writing songs, 1 done and working on 3. Taking a lot longer than I hoped, but well be fine. The bass lines I'm making for myself are pretty challenging, almost lead bass. Its completely different from my playing in VEGA. Can't wait to hear how it'll all sound when we get it recorded for real, but that's a ways away. VEGA has to record first.
If you don't get that like right now, I'd vote to never call you Mr. Personality again!

Thanks dudes. I'm super excited to get the EGC. I'll get it tomorrow, which makes tomorrow the longest work day of my life. Got practice on Wednesday. I'll be posting updates along the way.
Also hoping to stop by Chicago music exchange with it (to show off) and to test it out with some different pedals that I don't already own.

Kevin told me he left the neck with a solid core for added low end, when he tested the bass he blew up his bench amp...so apparently it worked.
