I noticed that hbo is doing some sort of marathon for deadwood. I`ll have to watch it. For whatever reason,I didn`t pay much attention to it when it first came out....what,like 10 years back?

I did however just spend the weekend watching the first 7 (all but the last) episodes of True Detective. Holy fvcking sh!t!!
That show is damn good!

Caught the Russian Circles/Helms Alee/Ken Mode show in chicago last night.

Wasn't too into Ken Mode, lot of stage moves and poses...all seemed forced. Also so much whisper vocals, kind of strange. We played with them a few years ago and I liked them a lot more.

Helms Alee was fun as per ususal, sound guy made the drums sound like Vinnie Paul though, so that kind of detracted as everything was super clicky.

Russian Circles were awesome, mix was a little off, sometimes things sounded buried, other times it all sounded great. Drummer's kick sounded massive which was pretty awesome. Brian Cook is just a great bassist, so there's that too.
