I've never heard of a tuner making noise before.

It does track, but it's very very sensitve, the slightest turn of the tuning key will send it spinning out of control.

The way I look at it is that it's too accurate for low F, the PB isn't as precise, but it is in tune, and it doesn't take me 5 minutes of putzing around to be in tune.

haha i get it now, yes id agree its too accurate and you can spend all day fiddling. i thought you meant it wasnt tracking well down there in the depths of hell.

I really like it.

I was literally 10 minutes away from getting a TU3 when my cubicle neighbor at work stopped by and asked if I wanted it. I thought I'd give it a shot, has worked great for me for over a year now.

I use a Turbo Tuner and like it. It's true that it's very accurate, to the point where it can be frustrating if you don't have a great setup or aren't confident with accurate tuning techniques. It's accurate enough to adjust intonation properly, which is nice.

I've also owned a Polytune. The poly function seemed kind of useless on bass, but good for guitar. The chromatic tuner worked well, but it has bass and guitar specific modes, which was a little annoying. They're plentiful used for a good price. I sold mine to a guitarist friend who has never owned a tuner, because the ones he tried in the 90's sucked and were expensive and he loves it.

Glad you got that epi Pelham, I considered it but decided I'd just save as much money as I can before I graduate so sticking to squier.

I went to PB from TU-2, I like it. Seems to be easier to tune my low C

Still rocking my first TU-2, don't trust it anymore, but don't want to spend money on a tuner, when I could buy a fuzz or even Peavey amp for the same price.
