Equalization for bass

A resonant HPF is a tool I like in the studio for simultaneously removing bass where it clashes with the kick and providing a boost to the bass just above the kick to not have the bottom end feel wimpy when only one is playing. Admittedly, if I had to pick just one resonant filter, it would be the LPF over the HPF.

I typically hardwire a small resonant peak in my HPF section's response, as I think quite a few other bass oriented amp and pedal builders do. But as you know, studio applications are definitely not my wheelhouse.
