That sucks dude, you are in my prayers. Back injuries can be a problem, so do all the therapy they prescribe and do it CORRECTLY, or you could screw up your back worse. As for the car, Mazda 6's are nice cars, and luckily they are all over the place, so you should be able to grab another easily.

Thank you, everyone! Yeah I'm a little busted up. VERY sore all over, and my back hurts really bad in one spot, about midway up. Barely got out of bed today.

I am very relieved that you were not too seriously injured, and I hope that the only lingering effect of your close call will be a heightened vigilance of all the other yo-yos on the road.

When I saw the word vertebrae in the OP my guts winced. This past Monday a neighbour fell off a porch and broke his back. Doc' says he's now a paraplegic.

Life is fragile. Please be careful.
