Would have responded last night but I had sex. Twice.Sorry I missed all of this. I had gigs.
Got another gig...later.
And once this morning.

Anyhoo... there's no way in the world someone could do a test. It really sounds like everyone has made up their mind already....Seriously. I said the difference was subtle, and to half of everyone that responded that's nothing...oh well. Whoa is me.
It doesn't really matter anyway. A cord will not make you better...but neither will 'empirical evidence'. Whatever works.
What you're missing is that you have faith in your ears. I mean no offense by that statement. It's important to understand that without proper controls, a person's ears are not able to make an objective assessment in this case, as has been described in detail previously, due to the filtering provided by the brain before we consciously "hear" anything.I thought i was relying on my ears, on experience, not at all on faith.
Again meaning absolutely no offense with this, but the fact is you were predisposed to listen for a difference. Even though your conscious mind was skeptical, by being aware of the controversy and the claims, you were preparing your mind to try to find differences between them--and it did. That's how our brains work.To the contrary, i was pretty faithless going into my testing. I was completely expecting it to be bunk. I think your statement inaccurate, if you are putting me in the second group.
Pretentious?
I was going to call this an automatic win at first, but I'm afraid we'll need to see pics of your partner to determine if it's a win...that is...if you indeed had a partner.....Would have responded last night but I had sex. Twice.

I'm just shocked at all the attention that's being paid to this. I bought a cable I had heard about, it made my rig sound a little better, so I thought I would post as a service. 100 people come out of the woodwork to tell me that there's no way I could be hearing any kind of difference...

Of course!

My point is: WHATEVER. I play nickel strings, I'm sure 1000 people out there could tell me why steel strings are better. I'm sure some you prefer 12's or 15's to 10's or some of you prefer 4's to 5's or whatever. It works for me (note the bold). I'm not saying that it will be for everyone, but I am entitled to an opinion, right? My opinion (note the bold) is that this cable works for ME--which does not mean everyone should use it. It works for me. I never said that you were less of a bassist for not using one of these cords...it works for me...it works for me...

Well that's three minutes you could have better spent installing one of these:
