Euphonic audio CXL-112 vs. Wizzy 112

I have been running two CXL 112's for a few years now-
used to run a walkabout head with them and that was sublime.
now I run a markbass SD1200 into them and they are simply one of the best sounding cabs out there and can take a metric assload of juice.
very smooth across the spectrum and take EQ well like has been posted.
I doubt they have ever truly been working hard and still get a ton of volume.

Sorry to bump this old thread. I’m picking up a CXL112 that supposedly has a blown speaker so I’ve ordered one of the last 12” Wizzy 8 ohm speakers Gollihur Music has left. Do you know of anything internally that needs to be done to use a Wizzy with this cab? Crossover bypass or anything?

Yup.. .bypass the crossover, but just leave it mounted in there. Try not to mess with the insulation in there too much.
Just unhook the wires from the crossover to the jack and then wire the speaker directly to the jack and go. I personally think a replacement dual-driver (coaxial) is better than the Wizzy, but lots of people like the sound of the Wizzy in that cabinet.

John Dong from EA chimed in here a while ago and recommended the Eminence KL3012CX-8 for a woofer, and a JBL D220Ti Horn for the tweeter. The tweeter just screws into the back of the woofer.

I have (2) CXL-112 with tuki covers in good shape along with (2) VL-208 also with covers in good shape. I play an eminence eub and 6 string electric. Most of the time with my jazz/fusion 6 pc group I stack a VL-208 on a CXL-112 powered by an EA doubler. Because our venue is large and one side of the rectangular room is open to outside my setup is just enough for me to hear myself on stage, sound man takes a DI from my amp. I'm thinking of selling my my EA cabinets, I also have a NL-410 in mint conditions (because I hardly use it) with a tuki cover also. I know EA is out of business, anyone know how much I should ask for them? The problem is that they are heavy and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. Any advice?
