I always thought it was a pretty sharp looking bass. But I'm partial to black/tort.

I have never heard of her, but apparently she has some family in the business.
There was even a thread going around on another forum talking about great women bassist and there was not even one mention of her.....she's got chops though!
She ain't bad looking, either. Dumb place for a thumb rest, though.
I have one arriving today. Will report back.
FWIW, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is releasing an album this month which was recorded years ago with Eva, the rest of The Mars Volta, and John Frusciante.
For those not familiar, she was a founding member of The Mars Volta. After she left, Flea recorded bass on their first album. After that, Juan Alderete (the man himself) was their bass player for the remainder of the band's life. I've not heard enough of her to compare her to Flea or Juan. Maybe Omar's new album will feature her shredding.
That boat, though..
Changing the subject slightly, does it seem that signature models for female artists have a high rate of failure (to sell)? There aren't that many to begin with, and they seem to last only a few years (I.e., the Bonnie Raitt Stratocaster). I'm kind of interested in the new EBMM St. Vincent guitar; hope it survives for awhile.
