I think keyboards look cheezy on stage unless they have alot of bells and whistles with it. I think it looks classy, and 98% of people would never notice.

Holy crap. She soooo heard how crappy they sounded. That little "Wow" after the guitar/bass, drum clicking noiseification really set it off. That sound guy needs to be shot. And some tech has some explaining to do. If I ever get to that status, I will ALWAYS double check that stuff. Even just to prevent that little mishap. If only they had sone what Ashlee Simpson did. As long as they don't quit playing until the backing track stops...

I feel bad for them. Someone was definitely out of tune but Amy's singing sounded great to me.

Amy didn't do a very good job at covering up the screw-ups either. It's almost like she made sure to let everyone know, "Hey, it wasn't me who screwed up, it was these morons behind me." I always thought that, at that high a level, even if you do screw up, don't show it, cause half the people out in the crowd and watching don't know the difference anyways, until you let them know.

Well, in covering a couple-of-notes worth of screw up - I'd agree with you. But this was a bonafide train wreck. Extremely embarrassing on a huge performance like this. I think she had to acknowledge it. It was too obvious - even to non-musicians.

On the clip I have, her fingers aren't anywhere close to what is actually being heard. I don't doubt that she can play piano. Perhaps an audio delay or something is the issue?

Maybe she's playing the "strings" part and the violinists are actually the ones faking it?!

Totally agree. It was probably a surreal experience at that point and "wow" may have been totally spontaneous and genuine.
