I like the Lacuna Coil I've heard, they seem to be quite competent.

I don't know anything about Within Temptation, but on a European darkwave site we got a review that compared us to them. Not sure what that means exactly. (and we're not a Goth band either!)

A lot of people have been recommending Nightwish to us also, and after hearing that I'm kind of insulted that they think we'd like it...
ah well.



also, why was Amy apologizing before the song even began?
anyone notice that? Premontion?

What I love about the clip is all the applause and whistling that goes on afterwards... Maybe no one in the audience noticed... or cared?

The other thing that's odd to me about the audio of this clip is that the mix is so bad. I wonder if this audio has the same mix as was heard on TV.

You gotta give Amy (and the band for that matter) some credit though, she still plowed through like a pro and made it through to the end of the song... Though I must admit I would have died laughing if she stopped at that point and started doing a hoedown dance :D

- Ugly.

For what it's worth, I was just comparing the studio version of My Immortal with this video version, and the billboards award version appears to have the piano tuned down a 1/4 step or so (perhaps to match the orchestra tuning). Playing them both side by side it sounds like the bass and guitar were tuned the same as they were in the original studio version... Evidently the rest of the band didn't get the memo. Ooops :eek:
