Haha We'll there's a bunch of fruit trees so anything with water could end up getting pretty messy... I do like the idea though.

Remote car starter for my car. Our winter in central Alberta was a harsh one. Getting into a warm car in -30C weather was very nice.

Thought of something else. My safe. I had wanted one for a while and kept putting it off. I don't even have anything that valuable to put into it but it's got some fire and water safety to it so things like titles and other information "feel" safer.

+1 errr +2? Bought a set of Audio Technica M30s for work. Much nicer than the cheap headphone with mic meant for Skype. I wanted the M20, since that is good enough for mp3s IMHO... but they where sold out.

I really like Audio Technica. I use the M40s at home. And if you don't like Audio Technica.... I can't hear you with my closed back headphones on!

I wanted a laptop for the longest time, with all kinds of plans of what to do with it. I won a free one in a raffle at work. Now it sits at home waiting for me to complete my office so that it can sit unused on a desk, rather than an sofa.

Not yet, not in the budget at the moment. But I spend enough time at work on a computer (8 hours a day) and would prefer not to sit on one for the rest of the day. Its been fairly useful in that I was able to transfer all my media onto it from my DV Camera & phone, but havent used it much beyond that.

Since purchasing my home I had propped a brick up to keep the toilet stopper from falling backwards too far thus leaving the tank unplugged. We also had to jiggle the handle when that didn't work.

This past week I took a staycation and completed a few of the odd jobs I've been wanting to do for some time. I installed a new toilet, and now that it's in, I can't believe I took so long to change it out. My wife thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread and there's no more fooling around with the handle. Just press the handle and whamo! It's the fastest flushing toilet I've ever used. In fact, I think it would suck my shirt off if I got too close.

One of those little table-top grill thingys. I was given one for Christmas and initially I thought they were gimmicky. Then I gave it a bash and it worked brilliantly. Now I can do all sorts on it, from toasties and toast to burgers and even veg.

Bug zapper and a dremel... the zapper is great for taking care of the mosquitoes and such while i'm cooking on the back porch, the dremel... well it's just the most useful thing I've ever owned. Also... I'll second maki on the axe, I took one camping last year and it was definitely better than trying to use a hatchet.

It's a garden hose reel that automatically rolls itself back up when you're done. We got it Friday, I seriously asked myself why didn't I buy this sooner.
