Exotic Pickguards... Let's See Them!

I want to get some ideas for putting a new pg on my black P bass.

I want to do something different from the same old stuff.

I've been playing with the idea of cutting out a clear plexiglass pickguard for a custom build I'm doing in my spare time. I think it would look neat showing the guts of the bass, maybe even wire in a little LED to give it a glowing effect.

I really like the checkerboard one.

Thanks, my buddy took the original pickguard and used it as a template on Plexiglass. He is a great designer/builder/luthier.

Here's one I did for my old SBV. All it required was about an hour of CAD and a few minutes on the CNC mill

ya,, it's a collage,, actually decoupage is the correct terminology. was very simple to do.

Came across this Brubaker on eBay tonight. Question is can you really call it a pick-guard? I can't make up my mind with about this one! It's either really cool or really crazy!

I like this one much better over the other 2

With my Stingray (I know it's not a J...but you get the idea), I went with Abalone over the Natural Ash. Kind of a departure from the standard white or black perloid.
