Trained and experienced doublebass luthier needed in the San Francisco Bay Area. This time of year, many local shops need go production type setups for student instruments as well as the full range of normal shop work. Yes, Gael has a shop in Berkeley and seems quite busy. I think Steve is saying there's enough work in the Bay Area to feed a few mouths.

We need two more Gael McKeons, ideally one on the San Francisco penninsula and one down in the San Jose area. Somebody could move out here and immediately have 10-12 hour days 7 days per week at least through November. After that, a "normal" 60 hour week would be very easy to maintain.

The San Francisco Bay Area economy is bounding back to very robust health. There is plenty of work to do on high quality instruments out here. Their owners are getting really tired of having to send them down to Los angeles or out of state.

There is plenty of professional level work available for the right people. The weather here is great, the music scene is vibrant, and players from amateur to full-time professional are willing to pay good money for top notch work.
