I'm glad those peaveys are standing next to the Fenders....because I'm not sure anyone could hold one up next to a fender all day long without pulling a muscle or slipping a disc!![]()
Ever owned an old USA Peavey?

You mean Fender ISN'T God?
I'll do some research and get back to you.
Ever owned an old USA Peavey?
I'd like to borrow that phrase once in a while. I love it!
BTW, while I agree with you, I don't think I'll be showing up to a biker bar in a tutu. At some point, common sense has to take over. I mean, I might not get my ass kicked for not showing up on a Harley, but Harley or no Harley, the tutu is an open invitation for a beating.

Of course they could. Everybody wants to hang with the cool kid.Haven't read the whole thread but I'll play the devil's advocate 'representative'. There are many in here that will testify to the fact that the old Peavey basses will stand next to a Fender all day long!![]()
and to those who are complaining about a fender being heavy,
unless you play double weddings all weekend how heavy could it be? bulk up. have a cheezebooger.
a lot of responses to apparent flame bait.

So what you are saying is that in almost every field of endeavor EXCEPT bass playing, good equipment or gear matters?
Golf...they use the best clubs. Tennis, the best rackets. Running, the best shoes, construction, the best power tools, college, the best books, classical music, the best instruments. Target shooting, the best guns, archery, the best bows. Boxing, the best gloves, cuisine, the best ingredients, filming, the best camera...but when it comes to bass any old bass should work...and not just work but be exalted here on this forum? That makes no sense whatsoever.
FWIW, your dog vomit analogy made me laugh.
everywhere I go somebody, be it hired help or just interested parties is trying to jam some Fender or another down my throat. So someone explain why all the hype? Or has Uncle Leo worked the hoodoo on you too?
Hey...fix the A string at the nut...yuk!
