I didn't paint the sides of the pickups on purpose. When adjusting the height of the pickups, the line for the symbol would always be off. Does that make sense?

I think they will line up when the pickups are actually laid in the cavity.

Especially since any good pickups under a good setup should not have to protrude very much from their cavities, so the differences would not garble the image past the point of recognition
