Extended Range Bass Club Thread (Part 2)

Hey all! Here is my baby...an Aria Pro II Steve Bailey six-string fretless! She's been my main bass for over eight years! I'd love to get a number if possible...? Thanks!

I feel really novice in here with an SR506. Planning a cort A6 or a warwick in either fretted or fretless. Still to decide!

Some of the basses I've seen in this thread have just been, wow.

Well, here he is anyway!

May I please get a number for my PentaBuzz and Tacoma ThunderChief 5 fretless. Oh and my MIJ Jazz 4 was tuned BEAD for a couple of years, but is tuned regular now, but is highly likely to get a set of Piccolo strings in the near future.

Hi there! I have a Warr Phalanx beadgc on bass same on guitar side ,which i am sorry is in my opinion not a guitar as it is only one octave above the bass. I call it a touchbass not a touch guitar.Am I correct?it,s an erb ,right?

Teknoman #154 ..... Welcome

Touch style instruments fit in a bunch of categories, IMO, and extended range would be one of them :)

So I have a 6 string Ibanez and string it E to E like a guitar. I use Dean Markley SR 2000 using the top 6 strings - all wound. Any other brands esp. if they could accomodate a six string tuned E to F (and I woudl tune down the C and F ) say like:
.105, 85,65,45,35,23 or something around there, all wound? Cannot seem to find any out there. Thanks

Sell .022 and .020 wounds for F.
Such thin wounds have very thin cores and are delicate ... difficult and expensive to manufacture. The Circle Ks are plain to .023 and wound from .025 up, i believe the .025 won't take the tension at E.
