He is a rather newer builder, I have seen him at the last 3 summer NAMM and he shared a booth with Bart Etter of BEtter Audio at the last winter NAMM.

Jauqo III-X has commissioned him to build a 15 string bass that I got to play at that last winter NAMM, alot with that crazy 12'ver.

Well, that's pretty much the guideline we have adopted here ... whether that's right or wrong, who knows :). Generally, the accepted wisdom is 6 strings & up but it's hard to argue with someone playing a 4 string that is tuned in 5th's that the range hasn't been "extended"

How are you liking the GT7? They are great basses, worth much more than the price point they sell for used, probably worth more than the list price .... I've had several of them over the years and every one was a charm :cool:

Madonna how does one wrap their hands around that monster?


Can I play? I play a Brice HXB 6 string fretless. It along with a with a Fender Jazz 5 are my main gigging basses these days.

Recently rediscovered the killer sound of my Warwick Corvette 4 fretless but have gotten so into the 6 string thing that I'm thinking of trading that for a 6 string fretless 'vette.

Oh and I'm partial to #146 if you can accomodate that :)

I adore it. I got a great deal on it from another TB'er, but since it's perhaps the most expensive personal purchase I've made in my life, you could say I treasure it. It's inspired my playing, and I just adore the color and style of the instrument. Can't wait to play this baby out!
