Jauqo, what a gorgeous bass! I assume it plays as great as it looks ...

In a way, while sad that Adler no longer builds, the opportunity to finish the bass in the circuitous route taken makes it even more unique. Like Mark said above, it's cool that you were able to hang with it through completion .... :cool:

Obviously not a bass, but an interesting take on extended range for guitar. The bridge on this Steinberger could mechanically transpose the guitar to several tunings down to B, C, and D. It could lock in E standard or set the trem to float. It could also tune up to F# and G. The bridge can transpose to all of these keys. It's inherently limited by what a string is willing to do. I suppose nobody is surprised that there isn't an E string that can tune up to G and down to B.

With my hybrid 9s, I can tune to G and down to D. B and C aren't terribly useful unless I changed strings. I'm going to keep my current strings since I really enjoy tuning to G.

Nice looking basses .... I used a SRX505 for a few years in the late '90's (I think?) and the thing was a bazooka. It had one tone, "loud" :), and sure wasn't as pretty as your basses. I've been seeing more and more of them lately, might be time for me to check into them again :cool:

Beautiful basses. I had a SR1305- my first 5 string bass. Paduk, Mahogany, Bubinga, Wenge- all the goodies! I still have remorse in selling that, even though my current line up of basses is fantastic. The necks are wonderful in the Soundgear line, in my opinion. I have played a 6 string Soundgear bass at Guitar Center and the neck was nice and thin, easy to play. For the money, they are a great bargain for a first-time extended range bass I think.

Well actually I planned to make it a 7 string. But the necks I found on offer are to slender. :confused:
So, it will be another 6 string. :hyper:
I just received the J like body and a 6 string neck. Wilkinson tuner and ETS like mono rails are in my "free stock". The neck pickup will be the shown J like and at the bridge I will go for a similar one combined with another J like with fat pole pieces. :D The pickguard will be more like a Roscoe Beck one, or the like. But let's see, the picture gives a good impression of how it will be. :) However, I have to see how much time my new born son will give me for the project. You will see it than.
