This was a most exciting race, today, seriously, an edge-of-the-seat kind of race with everything that occurred throughout the whole race from start to finish.

The Indy Car race was nuts too. Didn't catch on that it was on-air though, unfortunately.

I'm a total addict, if I'm being honest. I would attend a NASCAR race...I practically lived at the local circle track when I was a teenager. Met my ex-wife because of the racing, her uncle was/is a super fast guy.

My point is, watching NASCAR on TV is mega-boring to me; same with baseball. Love going to the ballpark, won't watch it on TV even if you paid me.

But no, I am I fan of anything powered by internal combustion. Corners are more my thing than high speed. I love F1, MotoGP, WRC, WEC, World Superbike, Motocross, Dakar, desert racing, Pike's Peak & other hillclimbs, hell I used to watch swamp racing & barstool racing on Speedvision!

I watched that a few times.... the late Steve Evans as an announcer had a gift of making any sport (regardless of how mundane it really was) seem like the best thing since sliced bread.

I lost interest since the CART and IRL thing way back when.

So did everyone, pretty much.

I used to go to the Portland race back when Montoya and Zanardi were in the series, which was fab. But the racing is actually better now, and the field is seriously deep with talented drivers. I may just go back to Portland this year, I think.

watched NASCAR during the glorier years when 'legends' ruled the sport
I dvr some races now and skip through most. Starts/restarts/finishes and the odd crash are the only sorts of entertainment for me anymore. as I no longer 'have a driver', I no longer have much interest

I do not 'have a driver' anywhere anymore.
Ever since Dick Trickle retired from NASCAR, there was just no name I could get behind.

HUGE F1 fan here.
I'm of the opinion that the FIA need to make the field more competitive. Kvyat, Stroll, and Sainz being in the top five in Germany was an aberration. Usually there's three teams racing for podium, four teams racing to get in the points, two teams struggling with technical problems (I'm looking at you Renault), and Williams bringing up the rear.

Mercedes just made mistakes on Sunday. The norm is for Hamilton and Bottas to dominate, and LeClerc, and Verstappen to fight it out for next best. Vettel has been quite awful lately (German GP notwithstanding). Verstappen is absolutely ripping it up.

I thought Racing Point would be better. Towards the end of the 'Force India' era they were starting to make waves. Then Stroll Snr. made them average again.
The Honda engine in the Torro Rosso cars seems to be a good fit.

Actually, IMO it does. The CART cars before they went to one engine were real beasts compared to the IRL era or the current Indycar package. Too crazy for ovals though, and aero band-aids just never seem to work out for long.

I watched back when you could actually tell what kind of car they were driving by the shape of the body and not by the sticker on the front of it.
