Yeah it's very useful for that. I didn't have much time to spend with it yet but I used as a resonant low and high pass filter or as a parametric eq in general depending of the song I was playing. It's useful to have mid control since my bass only has bass and treble eqI love mine! I'm using it as a resonant low pass filter that I stomp on during a song to change my tone, which is where the overall volume control comes in handy. Much better than the broughton rfe in my opinion. How are you using yours?
it does break up, really nicely. i have mine just on the verge. kind of like a low gain overdriveYeah it's very useful for that. Other interesting uses I found are:
- as a drone, it's very interesting but you have to play with the q and the gain to find the sweetspot
- as a low frequency boost for my mantic hulk combined with a high pass filter to preserve my speaker. It made the whole room tremble
- as a cocked wah for my fuzz. Really fun to play for whom the bell tolls or anasthesia. Again playing with the q you can find a lot of wah-like tones out of the pedal
I kind of wish this thing had presets because it's so versatile that I can use it in so many different ways. My next step is to try to boost the signal in front of it and see how (and if) it breaks up
Hulk needs a bottom booster?Yeah it's very useful for that. I didn't have much time to spend with it yet but I used as a resonant low and high pass filter or as a parametric eq in general depending of the song I was playing. It's useful to have mid control since my bass only has bass and treble eq

Yes I tried it with the accountant in front of it acting like a boost and it's a very nice low gain overdrive, really warm.it does break up, really nicely. i have mine just on the verge. kind of like a low gain overdrive
Not really needed, I would say the HPF is a nice addition to the hulk, it helps it bring out more and preserve your amp. The boost of the low frequencies is just for fun, to make the stage tremble (sort of a "brown note")Hulk needs a bottom booster?
Nobody? Hoping @Proton Lenny might do a demoAnyone here tried 'About 900' yet?
Not for me. I did try one, and it sounds great on bass, but not my style of fuzz.Nobody? Hoping @Proton Lenny might do a demo
what is currently your favorite fuzz? Not for me. I did try one, and it sounds great on bass, but not my style of fuzz.
Thanks! My personal favorites are Brassmaster style fuzzes. Currently have a BEAD v2 on the way. I also love the unpleasant surprise, but I'd need a blend pedal to make it work for me. I like the most crushed settings which also remove lots of lowend.
It let's through plenty IMO. It has a subtle roll off below 35hz, but that's about it.Is about 900 good in regards to how much bottom end it lets through?
My new favorite setting, for a current project/track with my barbershop pedal is Drive all the way clockwise and sag all teh way counter clockwise , with the toggle in teh middle and volume at unity.Im really digging the Modele B! I only got about 30 minutes with it yesterday. I was trying to pin down what the controls were doing with the sound, but couldnt really figure it out. With drive low and volume up, it was really punchy! I think where I ended up last night was volume around 1 or 2, drive about 3 and sag about 9 or off.
Im using a passive stacked humbucker jazz bass. Anyone have some settings to try, and why you like them?
