Favorite Bass DI?

I've been considering picking one up. I have a preamp in my chain (Joyo American) and a DI out on my amp head, but its pre-eq and pre-volume so I'm afraid the American isn't sufficient enough as a preamp. I don't know.

EDIT: I'm really just wanting a preamp, the DI on my amp should be good for now, a DI would just be an added bonus if it was in the pedal.

My favorite is the REDDI.

Countryman Type 85 and a Dietz passive DI with a Jensen transformer. In the studio will use the best mic pre available.

If you already have a good sounding preamp, all you need is a DI-box. I use Palmer The Junction. It is a DI-box and a cab simulator in one passive box. It gives me a great sound through full-range PA speakers. IMO, cab sims are essential, especially if you use overdrive/distortion/fuzz as a part of your bass tone. Even clean bass sounds much better, using cab simulators, when reproduced through full-range speakers.

REDDI is probably the best but I like my Aguilar DB900 a lot!

I personally like the mxr bass d.i+ and the tech 21 vt bass d.i. I like the mxr bass d.i+ for it's gk-like sound quality and it's distortion channels. it's got a cool grinding sound. and I like the vt bass d.i for it's warm rocking sound. and the character control can give you some cool distorted bass sounds. If I ever wanted a d.i pedal, I would go with one of those pedals because it has great sound quality.

best DI I've used is the dbx db12. Totally transparent tonally. Phantom powered. Under $150
Lotsa love of course for the Reddi, but really, not many of us can afford $750 DIs. If you can, then there is no question hehe.

Either of the Sansamp bass DI boxes. I know everyone's batty for the Reddi, and it is a great sounding box, but it never made a bit of difference to any sound man I encountered. My Sansamps get tons of love from them though. Just stating my experience which I know is different from many others.
