I started out using a DOD 260 DI. but now use the Behringer Bass BDI 21 Mid modified Bass amp modeler-Driver-DI

Another vote for the REDDI. If you have the bread, its top of its class. One of the best investments I've ever made.

I always go back to a SansAmp, even after owning a Tone Hammer pre. I'm sure the Reddi is amazing (and expensive) but you would also need a preamp with it. I would love to own a Reddi though if I could swing it. Wouldn't take it to a bar gig though.

+1 on Aguilar Tone hammer, my favourite preamp and DI in one, if you want to spend extra bucks,than Avalon U5 .

You don't need a preamp with it. You can certainly use one if you like, but plugging straight in still gives you a great tone.

Recently did a shoot out with Reddi, Sadowsky, Avalon U5, and SansAmp VT Bass DI's. The Reddi took the prize, but the Sadowsky was a close second to our ears and it's a lot cheaper.

I just picked up an MXR M-80, I know MXR doesn't get a lot of love but I've been happy with all of their products I've tried. I'll see how this one does on Sunday.

Had a Sansamp PBDDI, wasn't too impressed. Got a 3Leaf Enabler and haven't looked back. Sound guys love it, sweetens up the tone a smidge without ruining the natural sound of your bass (if running Post EQ). Clean as can be if running Pre-EQ. If you can find a used one Id highly recommend it.

My personal favorite is the Darkglass B7K after using a few others like a few different sansamps, the mxr, Demeter tube direct....

out of the others, I dug the mxr the most and the sansamp the least, wouldn't mind trying the REDDI, I still really wanna try "the evil twin", but hands down the B7K works best for me as both a preamp/DI!!!!

edit: if price is a concern, the mxr is badass, I used one for years to get me a nice "wet" tone, if price doesn't matter, the B7K is very versatile and well worth it, I always disappeared in the mix with the sansamp, and I tried the gt2, the 3 channel one, and the bass driver
