Naked is fine appearance wise, but not very practical. On a couple of occasions I've forgotten which DR strings I've put on a bass: are these Hi Beams or Lo Riders???

purple on Ken Smith strings, though, i don't like the strings too much, just looked good on my matte black bass

The DR Flats have yellow silk wrappings. It's odd because the other DR strings have no silk wrapping.
