So he is playing with a pick here, then like a magician there is no pick. Where does it go? The hand is faster than the eye. Is he holding the pick out of sight? He could do card tricks.

Yes, but that is the minor trick the playing is...

He mentions it in one of the YT vids about having developed and practiced the tuck so he can switch smoothly from one style to the other. Neat stuff. Must learn.

This "Frankenstein" parts bass is not quite done. (Excuse the messy work station.) Perhaps in the next 4 or 5 days it'll be rolling. I've always liked the early 70s P Basses with the aged cream oly white with bright red tort and maple neck.

I have a tort blank but it is more brownish than red (which is my preference) is there a way to make it more red? Paprika perhaps?

I like that walnut. My first PBass was a 77 mocha like that one but modded with a J. Sold it to buy a 62, but man I wish I still had it.

I cannot with good conscience go with burst and a tort, black or white pickguard, nor with black and maple or any of the typical mundane favorites.
I want a P bass that looks as special as it sounds.
Here's mine.

This would be my other choice.
