One of my favorites is in "Undecieved" by Extol, it is very long, and not very technical but gets me every time.

Another is the main melody in "Ember" by Extol, the melody starts out with a violin, and the song ends with the guitar playing it. Every single time I listen to that song, that melody just hits me.

Some amazing musicians in that band.

The first song that popped in my head was Floyd Comfortably Numb. Also John Mayer "Come Back to Bed" and "Covered In Rain" are really great songs with awesome solos.

The Road To Nowhere by Ozzy. There is a ton of feeling pouring out of that guitar.

Any of several by Alex Lifeson. Presto and The Pass for two that immediately come to mind. His solos fit the mood and lyric of the songs he plays on.

Steve Rothery's (Marillion) solos are like that too. His solo on Easter is a definite keeper.

Maggot Brain is great but I'm still partial to "The Messiah" by Roy Buchanan (*spelling) , which is quite a dichotomy for an atheist.
