favorite ice cream flavor?

Hahaha, I just know how Texans are with their state pride, as that is how I am about California! Just messing with you a bit. I'm about an hour or so north of Dallas, you know, right next door to nowhere.

Texas isn't too bad, I've met some real cool people. I have learned to keep certain opinions about things to myself though.

My biggest qualm with Texas is the tex-mex style Mexican food. Around here that just seems to equate to mediocre Mexican food swimming in "queso" cheese sauce, but being from California, I am a bit spoiled in that regard. The bomb BBQ -almost- makes up for it though. Almost.

We will agree on the Tex-Mex restuarants in the DFW area. I've yet to find one acceptable. The Tex-Mex capitol of the world is San Antonia. Houston has some great places, particularly Ninfa's original location on Navigation. We Texans think California Mexican food is not really Mexican at all, but something dreamed up by a California Chef who studied in Belfast.

And yes, you are in the middle of nowhere.
And it's okay that you love The Peoples Republic of California. Nice weather and crazy people. What else could you want?

A local brand here in CT "Farmer's Cow" has some really good ice cream. Just had some vanilla. Local dairy co-op I think.

I used to like this, now defunct, Ben & Jerry's flavor, From Russia With Buzz.
I've yet to try White Russian.

I like most chocolate ice creams.

Rocky Road. After that, it's vanilla with a scoop of peanut butter, chopped almonds and sliced bananas.

I love vanilla with the vanilla bean in it.
Although chocolate chip mint-or anything with licorice is good too.
