I think it was popular in Britain around 1958 - but not much since - although it has been the butt of many slapstick comedy sketches!! ;)
Bruce, what in the name of God is coming out of that ice cream cone?

What does Cold Stone Creamery count as? 'Cause it starts out hard, but after they mix in all the goodies, it's soft, and in a chocolate-coated waffle. That's what I like. So, hard mixed into soft, I guess.

yeah. but i'll make some qualifications: cone has got to be soft served. bowl has got to be ...hard ice cream? i thought that was just regular ice cream?

gelato is really good.

man, during spring break, i went to boston. in the dining hall in one of the buildings in BU (forget which one), i had lots of burritos and ice cream cones for my various meals. :D

and while touring boston, a friend and i came across a store that sold gelato, and that was real good. it was like ice cream made out of silk!

yeah, ice cream is great.

Ice Cream is great, but it never lasts. If I buy a pint of Ben & Jerry's, it's gone in one sitting. It's one serving in my eyes. *lol*
