Favorite lightweight bass cab with good low-end?

My Randall RBXLT 412. I can actually pick this cab up with one hand and open a door at the same time it's so ultra lite. If you can find one in existence grab it. Invalid Link Removed

Depends on the sound You might want. Modern - Fearful, possibly DIY. And maybe make it from 15mm poplar instead of 12 mm birch. Or something in the class of the lightweight FMC cabs (FMC is a German company well known for its quality)

Vintage: make something TL606 or TL806 alike from 15 mm poplar. Use something like the Faital Pro PR400, the Eminence 2515 or the Oberton 15L400 - soundwise the Oberton would be the real thing.

If You can't or won't DIY i would suggest asking one of the small custom makers in Your country.

BTW: as a rule of thumb, 410, a 212 and a 115 should be roughly equivalent in perceived loudness. If i didn't own two relatively lightweight 115 cabs i would go the way of two or four 112 cabs.

For just a little more than your quoted price, you could get a Fearless F115.. or build yourself a fEARful 15/6 . Either would do amazing things, and you wouldn't regret it, or need anything different

factory speaker is higher quality cast frame eminence not stamped, similar to legend
little dark yes and same light cone magic midrange.

but actually a 1x15 can be still somewhat heavy and akward to move. its down low requires lift to move, or bend over to roll. actually a taller 2 driver 2x15 is technically heavier but way easier to move. lifting should not be required to often, tilt slide in or out and roll. put head on top and roll that heavy tuber with it. even slant back huge 2x15 can have tilt back with dolly. no stairs to lift. just roll it up clunk clunk clunk. seriously light cab talk makes me puke. then again im a mover and move heavy furniture daily in 100 degree weather lol. 40/55 pounds is a cake walk. id rather just roll 80 pounds though its easier. heavy on paper...light on wheels

YES, a 2x15 with good casters or tilt back, while technically heavier, is much easier to move around than a lot of smaller cabs.

And, Avatar is one of the few if any other options for 2 x 15 Neo cabs under $1000. I do think I would have Avatar load them with 3015's and not the 3015LF's. The 3015LF's roll off at like 1.5Khz and the 3015's closer to 4Khz which (imho) is better for a single 15.

Big Baby 2 has lots of low end focus, and from the audience sounds a bit like you have PA support for the bass when you don't-- thick, rich, fills a room. It's a 26-29 pound cab depending on grill. Four10 is 49-51 pounds depending on grill. SM is only 21 pounds.

Naturally there are other good, light cabs, but I love the Barefaced.

+1 to Plutonium's Barefaced recommendation. I never imagined such a tight, deep, musical, and LIGHT WEIGHT cab could be found. I use their Big Baby II (BB2) and Super Midget (SM) but could get by with just one of them.

If you like the 212 cab you have now, why go with two 115s instead of two 112s? I would look at getting a pair of Aguilar SL112s if weight is the #1 concern. I went with the DB112s and am happy with them. Heavier than the GK Neo 112s, but not as awkward a shape to carry. I also find the GK Neo cabs unappealing in sound. For me the Aguilars have more bottom end and I can dial out the treble better. You'll be able to come pretty close to $1k for a pair of them if you catch a sale or buy used.
