There were too many closeups of this guy in that episode:

There was a lot of that in TOS. Lots of closeups of faces.

For those of you old enough to remember TOS before they remastered it and redid all the space
graphics and special effects with CGI: Do you like the upgraded graphics?
I do. And The Doomsday Machine is one of the episodes that benefited the most from it.
Commodore Decker's ship (model) looked absolutely horrible in it's original format.
YesAlso, was Commodore Decker in "The Doomsday Machine" supposed to be the father to
Captain/Commander Decker in the first movie?
Seasons 1-5 are streaming on Amazon Prime...
Didn't know they did that. I'll have to find it somewhere and watch it.For those of you old enough to remember TOS before they remastered it and redid all the space

Yeah, makes you look forward to the future, doesn't it.It's 1992, I'm 11 years old and I turn on the TV to channel 57 and adjust the rabbit ears just in time to find Counsellor Troi and Dr. Crusher doing space yoga together in shiny one pieces with leggings. Happy times indeed......![]()
I'm not sure when they did the remaster/cgi update (probably 90's or early 00's), but anytime I've seen TOS on tv for many years now its always the updated version. Not sure where you'd find the vintage prints anymore.Didn't know they did that. I'll have to find it somewhere and watch it.
I love it myself. Plus the reformatted ones were the original length (I believe 52 minutes) and not the later syndicated ones that had scenes cut out to allow for more commercials, (a high crime in my mind). For those of you old enough to remember TOS before they remastered it and redid all the space
