fdeck hpf inline with cab

hey guys, so I have been running my fdeck series 3 for over a year now and love it. I recently bought a 2x15 cab becuase it was too good of a deal to pass up. I am running a carvin bx500 and it doesn't have high and low frequency outputs, so I was wondering if I could take the hpf from the effects loop, and run it in line with my 8x10 cab and then run the 2x15 without the hpf to get all the lows. Would that work? or should I just stick with the hpf in the effects loop?

Don't do it.

The HPF3 is not a "crossover" designed for "speaker-level power", it is a high pass filter designed for "line-level power" , to put it in simplest terms.

You can continue to use the HPF3 in your loop. If you really see a need to separate the 8x10 and 2x15, you will need a crossover. Of course, a large contingent of the TB crowd here will say you shouldn't be mixing speaker sizes anyway, but that's an entirely different thread. :smug:
