Hey Guys
I have an important gig playing a large car show with thousands of passers-by this coming Saturday. Apparently, parking is going to be very difficult and I may have to walk for multiple blocks with my rig.
Normally, I would just grab my Composite fEARful and not think twice. However, I have been mucking around with the grill and found my effort to cover it in audio quality cloth has not worked out. I think the double-sided tape has come loose somewhere and has cause unwanted vibration noise. I plan to take the grill off and fix the issue, but I may not have time b/n now and Saturday considering job, band and family obligations are taking up all my time for the next few days.
So....
Since I dont have time to mess with my 15/6 grill right now, will my 12/6 be loud enough? There will not be PA support for bass, but I dont expect to need to play *super* loud. That said, it IS an outside gig and it wont be quiet either. I am hoping to be able to use my gkmb500 (350w at 8 ohms) as I can just put it into the outer pocket of my bass bag on my back. Then just throw the 12/6 on my hand cart and walk with a minimum of gear. If necessary I can use my bx1500, but that wont fit in the bass bag. Just trying to keep things as small as possible. However, of course I need to bring the right gear to get the job done. I haven't brought the 12/6 on a gig yet so I am not sure how much volume I can get out it.
Thoughts?
