Make sure you drape it in a ratty tarp too.

What's the holdup? Carburetor trouble?

Mostly hesitation on the operator interface.

Screw holes and various blemishes filled with spackle. Cab fully sanded and all outside edges rounded. Next is black spray paint as primer and then the duratex finish coat.

Also I hold you responsible for my 15/sub build which you know will turn into a "lightweight" 15/6 buid down the road. When your cab weighs just a tad more than my 12/6 the writing was on the wall.

I am doing my best not to rush things. Taking my time, thinking things thru helps me to avoid errors...although I have made a couple regardless. Knowing that I love the design and tone of this cab, I've invested alot of work into this build. Pretty much means I'll never sell it. Not that there is anything out there better anyway, IMO.

Tonight I managed to get the cab spray painted black and just finished putting on one coat of duratex.... and its 10:35pm PST. I want to get this thing finished! I did it on my balcony in the dark with a couple of 100w light bulbs. I was pretty careful, but hopefully I dont wake up to find any rude surprises in the sunlight. I also took off my screen door and used it as a shield from falling leaves etc.

Hopefully the 'boss' will let me put on the final coat tomorrow when I get home from work. Then I'll let it cure for a few days before I start adding the hardware.

I've always found when dealing with "the boss" it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
