I kept hearing 410 compared to the SPL on a 15/6.....but both my 15/6s are WAY louder than any 410s I've ever come across.....like....a lot.

...I was sold on the 12/6 when I read it can nearly replace a 4x10 as far as volume and presence...
Well, kids... it took more than a year, but I'm finally the proud owner of a 15/6/1 and a 12/6/1cube:

So, last night I discovered another horrible mystery sound. Fortunately, it was easy to solve. Turns out that the uber-light TecAmp Puma 900 atop my cabinet will hop around and create an awesome buzzing sound. Wondering if this is prevalent in the wooden cabs, or if this is a composite issue. I'm assuming it would be, but wondering if the damping qualities of wood are any different.
The easy solution is to take the head off the cab. I'm considering some foam-pad shelf lining, or a chunk of yoga mat to go between the head and cab. I don't know if the head will generate heat issues with that padding though.
Regardless, the Puma 15/6 combo rocks my socks! Great sound and flexibility of tone.
Thanks! I'm lovin' it!Awesome stack, and well planned and executed. Modular is pretty smart to cover all your needs...congrats!
Yep - you were the first person I'd seen with a 12/6 atop a 15/6... got me thinking.Nice rig! I favor that cab setup, myself.

Got my sub done and took pictures today . Haven't even tried it out yet but I did use my 15/6 at practice Wednesday for the first time with my band . Didn't have to change a thing with my EQ or anything , sounded very clear , deep and smooth . More volume than I will ever need with my band so I guess I didn't really need the sub but it should be cool.
Do you mind if I use that shot in my "fEARful Phenomenon" story? We should be wrapping up the final tweaks to issue #8 this week.
Thanks, Tom.
Tom its not my cab! I was just excited about a 39 pound 215. Contact Mike Arnopol, as he is the builder/photographer of that cab.
