FedEx Nightmare Barefaced FOUND!!! Post 122

EDITED @ 7:00 PM 3/1

Like to preface this thread by disclaiming I never once put any blame or fault on Barefaced company. They're a exceptional helpful team of professionals that produce a fantastic product line.

Ok I'll try to keep this long story short. This is only the half of all the follies I've dealt with throughout this ordeal.

I ordered 2 Barefaced bass cabinets. Almost two months ago. What I thought would take 3 weeks took about 7. I finally get the email they're done and ready to ship. Fantastic right?
Last Thursday I get the notice. "They'll be here tomorrow. "Friday"
So I take Friday off "V-day". I get a text from FedEx that morning. "Someone must be at the address at 10:30AM to sign for the delivery".
Waited all day. It never came. I called FedEx and they said "sorry Mid west storm bla bla blah" you'll have to wait till Monday.
I told them I can't afford to take another day off. I want it redirected to a local office for pick up. Sure no problem they told me.
Saturday morning I get a surprise email that they're at the office. Woo hoo! Awesome.
I got to the office and there's ONLY ONE cabinet. "I'm like where's the other one"?
He's like "you're right, I don't know call customer service"
So now I've been on the phone every morning with them since and they have know idea where it is. This had been the most horrific experience in extreme anticipation followed by extreme let down and I'm still completely in the dark with no answers.

It IS frustrating to anticipate a fine new arrival, and then have half of it lost somewhere short of your doorstep. "Horrific" might be hyperbolic, but I understand the frustration. Doesn't bother me for someone to call a customer service situation "horrific" even though it doesn't involve blood, death, pension collapse, etc.

Semantics.

Can't we all just get along?

Unless the shipper paid extra to have it shipped overnight guaranteed, there isn't any expectations for the package to arrive as the tracking information provided is just an estimated time.

Next time just have any and all shipments sent to your work and be sure to let the shipping company know that it is a business, not residential, because they schedule those drop offs as priority.

Actually, now that you mention it, every time I've had a big shipment with FedEx from outside Canada, the estimated date has been off. including my Barefaced cab.

Sure that would be acceptable but how can two packages get put on a plane, received in the US but only one makes it? At first there like well "big Mid west storm" and I'm like "well by that philosophy both would be held back correct?" They're like "ummm yeah"

After 2 days of searching they can't find it...

I've been on the phone with tracing and loss prevention departments daily. They promise to call me back "daily" with an answer. No call.

Now this morning they're like "well maybe it's still in the U.K. Can you describe the package? Really? I'm just supposed to be understanding?

Yes Horrified may have been a strong figure of speach to use but this sucks.

My best FedEx story:
Package was scheduled to be delivered on a weekday. Since I wouldn't be home to sign, I had it switched to be held at a FedEx location (BTW, it only lets you pick the 10 closest locations to the shipping address, which is annoying because I work practically next door to a big FedEx hub and I can't pick it up from there).

Later in the week, the scheduled delivery was changed to Saturday. Since I was going to be home on Saturday, I called to have it delivered like normal. The rep on the phone says the hold was cancelled and now the package will be delivered Tuesday. I'm just like "....." I then ask her to put the hold back because I won't be home on Tuesday. OK, now it'll be delivered sometime between Saturday and Wednesday, but she can't be more specific.

Saturday morning comes around and it says its on vehicle for delivery, but not scheduled for delivery until Monday. I called the 800 number and they said I could pick it up that day. I went there, and after waiting 45 minutes for them to find the package, I finally had it.

Oh boy these people.
Hey at least they knew where it was. In my case they can't even put their hands on it and no ones calling me back because of it.

When i ordered a barefaced cab, i was told when it was ready for shipping. Since they came from a different country i was told on Wednesday that that the parcel will take a week. I was in state of anticipation for two days and my joy and surprise cannot be compressed into mere words when the parcel arrived on Friday.
Just a little positive barefaced vibe, to make your walk in the park less dark!

Thanks. I did receive one so I can play but I was soooo looking forward to the glory of running my Amp at 4 ohms shaking the neighborhood, posting pictures in the BF tread etc etc. but that pleasure has been taken.

nope. It has been delayed!

I had two aguilar GS212's on order a while back. The problem was that only one was still available in the next shipment and it was unclear if 212s were coming in the shipment after that. So i got one and no idea when the next one arrives.
The cab and me bonded and searched for a sound. The only problem was that in my loud band, 212 simply was not enough. I needed more. So when cab #2 arrived later, i was overjoyed yet again.
It will be the same with you. You got one of Alex' wonderful cabs (by the way, what did you order?) - so you have a 'new toy' day. And you've got another one coming.

Yes I do have the first one so I can at least enjoy that.
I ordered 2 Big Baby 2's.
What blows the worst is it took almost 2 months to get "them", (consecutive serial nimberd) I've payed for "them" but I only have one and they CANT find the other.

It pays to pick up your packages from their depot, instead of taking a whole day off from work to wait for them to screw up.

Got that right. Originally I had them shipped to my jam space. I was gonna plug in and rock the world. Never happened.

Were they shipped as two boxes of a shipment or two individual shipments? If it was the latter then it isn't too unreasonable that only one got on a plane at a time.
