I completely agree. The venue was amazing, the food was awesome. The fact that they had a bar for the people like me who never wanted to leave was fantastic.I personally felt the location was perfect. In reality there is no central location good for everyone. Like you said, a 3hr drive is probably the radius around the location for everyone not flying or making a multi-day vacation of it. NYC is a great destination for international guests such as lucky Laurent.

That's an excellent idea. I'll leave it for John and Kevin to start a "How We Organised Our GTG" thread and then other folks can chip in and we could get it stickied.Can someone summarize the points, along with what was learned by the organizers and put it as a sticky for any GTG.
The catch is that you have to supply the bass for that giveaway.The only thning I would have changed... is that I would plan the next GTG with a specific bass for SpankyPants to "win."
I'll still act surprised, but we'll all know that it was mine from the get-go.
