One man's spelling error is another man's band name.
I don't dig her and her talents (I don't even like her looks that much), simply because of this:
I think all those youtube ladies are good to great players, but they should explore they world gigging. Those videos and some are obviously looks driven, don't do a musician justice.
I think scarcity is a much bigger factor than some supposed inferiority. Last sentence is absolutely true.
If I had a nice set of cans, you can bet your ass you'd be seeing as much of them as I could squeeze into my Wonderbra! Like I said, the music business is dog eat dog, and any advantage you can possibly muster up is fair game. I do agree that it would be nice to see these home players on a gig, and I'll bet money that you will be seeing the good ones. Good players are good players, whether they're on a gig or at home.

Haha trust me I won't forget you brotha!Ya, getting a passport the same day is a real PITA. I've done it, and for me it involved a 4 hour drive to Miami and sitting around the passport office all day. Not fun. Understandable. Yeah, with you getting that kind of interest already, you'll get stuff happening. Good for you...just don't forget who told you to make your big glasses your gimmick when people start referring to you as "The cute gal with the big glasses who can really play"

You may have seen Kate playing upright before. There was a popular acoustic version of "all about that bass" her band did. This is a pretty sweet song. Not sure what's making me melt more, her beautiful voice or that ultra cool vintage Hofner.

This is the kind of thing that keeps me plugging away at the bass! So much more diverse of an instrument than most people think. Beautiful Hofner too! Damn!

Love it! Damn, I want a Rickenbacker! Every time I hear a killer sounding bass that seems like the tone I'd love to have it ends up coming from a Rickenbacker.
Really digging these minimalist, 2 piece bands. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but the fact that you can have 2 people, a couple of instruments (obviously best if one is a bass) and can make some kick ass music is just awesome in my opinion.
I can't stop listening to Stellastarr's first 2 albums. Amanda Tannen gets the job done, & looks great doing it 
I hear ya ... having a 2 piece sound really full is amazing to me. Don't know this gal part of the Wye Oak duo's name, but she sings and plays bass/guitar/drums/etc. I saw them open for the National a few years ago, & been keeping them on my radar since
Mona Gnader is Sammy Hagar's bass player in the Wabaritos/Wabos. I've seen them live several times and she can really play.
