Fender 60th Anniversary Precision Bass

GC refused to price match because HelloMusic is not an authorized Fender dealer. They also refused to sell the bass without the case. Low as they would go is $1250.
The burst one was already gone.
Better hop on that interent deal.

No new bass today :(

LOL, GC won't sell it without the case. I feel like walking in there and pulling a Jack Nicholson in "Five Easy Pieces." "I'd like an omelet, plain, and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast, no mayonnaise, no butter, no lettuce. And a cup of coffee... Now all you have to do is hold the chicken, bring me the toast, give me a check for the chicken salad sandwich, and you haven't broken any rules."

Yes, and as the guy who started the thread, I'll man up and take responsibility. Please allow me to simultaneously apologize to, and congratulate, the many GAS casualties to which I've contributed. Seems like everyone who has checked out the bass has bought one. Except the guy who started the thread.

Until this morning, that is. I finally cracked. The Hello Music deal was just too much to pass up....

The good news: I stopped myself from buying a P Bass model I already have merely because it's a different color. The bad news: Now I'm GAS'ing over a Music Man Sterling model I already have merely because it's a different color.

Still waiting for mine. My understanding is that Hello Music usually takes a few weeks, for whatever reason. That's fine, though, because I'm so crazy-busy with work- and other-related things right now that if it arrived today I probably wouldn't have time to even open the box before Sunday or so -- and that would be WAY more painful than simply waiting for it to arrive!
