Fender 60th Anniversary Precision Bass

case included:

What It is: The iconic Fender Precision Bass turns 60 this year, and to commemorate this milestone, Fender has created the 60th Anniversary P-Bass, available today from Hello Music. This historic design features an ash body, maple neck, maple fretboard, a retro style pickguard and control plate, and a commemorative "60th Anniversary" chrome neckplate. Carry it to your next session in the included hardshell case.

If you had the money and were GAS'ing for this bass, absolute no-brainer... What a week for Fender bass purchasers. Earlier this week, GC (whether accidentally or not) was selling the new Japanese Fender 70s P Bass for under $500 (as opposed to $900), and now this.

well ... not necessarily .... they run until they are gone ... and I have seen these listed at this price before on hello music just by going back on the thread of hot deals at hello music .... so that may relieve some of your gas. or not.

bet GC will price match that deal and I could negotiate a little more mark down because it won't come with a hardshell case.
I have a mission now that begins in an hour when I get off work. Great day to be a payday.

I'm a little PO'd that my GC receipt (from July) shows $1,188 for the bass and $160 for the case. Of course, I didn't check this carefully at the time, oy. I didn't really need the case. Seems like trickery that they list the bass at a certain price and say the case is free.

I'm playing mine right now. Brain swerving between, "Hey you lucky SOB, you have one of these already." And, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a blond too?" Kind of like the angel and devil arguing above Pinto's head in "Animal House."
