Fender 60th Anniversary Precision Bass

indeed .... Jeff .... but I believe I have your blonde ... and LOVE it.
:) Just recently put a hipshot drop D on it ... I'll take a pic and post.

That little tramp sure must get around! :D Last I knew, Bassplayer1494 (Dom) had my blonde! That's one of my few "sellers' remorse" basses. Oh well, I have one of your old Genz-Benz Shuttle 9.0's!

Here was my old Blonde at a casino gig:

wow ... now I'm not sure if I bought it from you or not ... I'll check.

ahhh the genz benz .... she is in her prime.

I had a brand new 60th blonde and sold it .... regretted it and bought another. I have seen the light.

The Hipshot D-tuner is the absolute ONLY mod I'm planning for my 60th, which is actually a new record for me. I've only installed strap locks, which for me is saying something. I've never owned a bass this long without finding something I want to change. Still madly in love with my 60th, dings, dents and all. She definitely has some mojo workin'.

I thought the sunburst ones were a special run for guitar center ... might have been done after the blondes were produced.

Yes, they were (a special run for GC). I'm not sure though whether they waited until the Blondes were produced before starting on the Bursts. Seems like they were available simultaneously if my memory serves. The Bursts just weren't advertised as widely as the Blondes. I was told by Fender that approx. 125 of the Sunbursts were made.

EDIT: I just looked at the S/Ns on my Blonde and my Burst. I no longer own the Blonde, so I'll "X" out the ending S/N for it.

Blonde: US11120XXX
Burst: US11115005

So my Burst has a lower SN than the Blonde, even though I got the Blonde first. Doesn't mean anything though, since I bought my Burst used from another TB'er.

ooooohhh Ohh no .... felt a bit of a G A S bubble there for a minute.

I'll have a sit and a soda and fan myself till it goes away.
