Kind of unrelated but I just recently finished up my project bass. It is my first bass and its a precision because they are my favorite kind of bass. Anyways... Me and my dad beat the crap out of it, took a blowtorch to the back of it and sanded down the finish and I got a dimarzio model p installed in it and it sounds freaking tight!!!! Also had chrome knobs put on it as well..Definitely a good bass to compliment my 60th. Now I have a p with flats and a p with rounds.. B)
Ill post a duo pic asap!
The purple looks cool but as I look at it, there's no black. It's consistent, not a sun exposure fade or anything. Maybe I have the only purple/red burst
Year 2051 - the 100th anniversary of the P bass.
Alongside the new "100th" limited edition P bass appears all of the previous anniversary editions; including the most prized of them all - a single iteration made during a run of only 150 burst models for the 60th anniversary: the much coveted "Deep Purple" 60th. Only one is proven to exist and, to this day, it is unclear why.
